The game of craps has a reputation for offering some of the best odds of all casino games. Unless you play perfect Basic Strategy at blackjack or perhaps count cards, you can't beat the Pass Line (or Don't Pass Line) with odds for a friendly bet at the casino.

Some players turn to crazy craps systems to stem the flow of chips away from their pockets thinking that something like the Colonel's Craps system will help, but systems just reroute the wagers. The only way to beat the game of craps for any period of time is to stay will low house-edge bets and catch a lucky shooter or a hot game and press your wagers while good luck is on your side.

Payout odds differ between the numbers: the odds pay 2:1 on points 4 and 10, 3:2 on points 5 and 9, and 6:5 on points 6 and 8. What are the odds of rolling a 7 in craps? In craps, there is a 1 in 6 chance of rolling a 7 on the dice, or a 16.67% probability.

20/20 hindsight i was thinking instead of $100 Buy for the 6, i would have a lower house edge placing that $100 on the 8, or even Buying the 4/10.
What would you have done? follow the streak on the 6 and pay the extra house edge to Buy it, or put that $ on a lower house edge bet?

only organic craps is in nyc.
Shoot to Win is in Vegas.
I prefer Organic craps because of it MUCH higher table limit. (in Vegas, max total $ #s is $500 vs $3000 in NYC.)
it sucks when you're on a hot roll, and you cant press. Done that a couple of times in Vegas e-Craps. :(
downside of orgainic craps:
you cant turn #'s on/off individually. you can only turn them ALL on/off.
it sucks. i want to turn on 6/8 on passline rolls. if a 7 hits, i'm ok with a 1.5% Place bet to put $ back on it.
i'm not ok with a 2% Buy bet on the 5/9 if it goes down.
I'm heading to Bethlehem Sands tonight for some craps but I'll try to stop at Aqueduct on my way back to check out organic craps. Their website says they close at 4am???

No matter what the house edge is, you do better when you put your money on the numbers that pay off.
This. But yeah, if the six is hitting, you might as well go 'every way to the number' as in roulette. A good way to get around posted maximums.
